Resumen
El presente trabajo está dedicado al estudio de los nacimientos en los tiempos del Antiguo Régimen. Se utilizan como fuente de información los libros de bautismo de la parroquia de Rebollo, Segovia, durante el período 1577-1700. El artículo comienza con un estudio de la génesis y desarrollo de dichos libros y sus autores: los sacerdotes que disfrutaron del beneficio de Rebollo. A continuación se analizan varias cuestiones relacionadas con las estadísticas de nacimientos, los bautismos, la elección de los nombres, la evolución de los apellidos, la fertilidad, etc.

Abstract
The present work is devoted to the study of births in the times of the Old Regime. The baptismal records from the parish of Rebollo, Segovia, during the 1577-1700 period are used as the main source of information. The paper starts by discussing general issues regarding the records compiled in the sacramental books, the regulations that ruled the information that they had to contain, and their authors: the priests that served the parish. After that we analyze several questions related to birth and baptismal statistics, the choice of names, the evolution of family names, fertility and other related issues.
