Las traslaciones mejor documentadas se corresponden con las dos \u00faltimas hasta el momento. La primera, en 1748; la segunda, en 1793. Estos cambios de lugar se convert\u00edan en solemnes celebraciones en las que la presencia de la m\u00fasica, era imprescindible. El presente art\u00edculo se centrar\u00e1 en la celebraci\u00f3n del traslado de 1793 y en su m\u00fasica, compuesta por el maestro de capilla Pedro Antonio Compta para esa ocasi\u00f3n, de la que se conservan dos partituras dedicadas al patr\u00f3n de Segovia: una cantada y un villancico, cuya letra (con otra m\u00fasica) sigue interpret\u00e1ndose en la actualidad, cada 25 de octubre, en la celebraci\u00f3n del d\u00eda de San Frutos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color\"><strong>Palabras clave<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>San Frutos, reliquias, trascoro, Pedro Antonio Compta, m\u00fasica, villancico<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-primary-color has-text-color\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1466 Bishop Juan Arias D\u00e1vila discovered the relics of Saint Frutos. Since then, these relics have been frequently translated within both the old and the new cathedrals of Segovia. The two most recent removals took place in 1748 and 1793, and are the best-documented translations of these relics. These ceremonies represented very solemn occasions in which the presence of music was essential. This article focuses on the music that Kapellmeister Pedro Antonio Compta composed for the celebration of the 1793 translation. Of this music, only two scores, both dedicated to Saint Frutos, Patron Saint of Segovia, survive: Recitative and aria and Villancico.
